Aiming for ladylike rather than sexy, the Bridal Lingerie 2012 line by Stella McCartney is unbelievably cute. As her debut wedding underwear collection, Stella really managed to celebrate one of the most important nights of any young woman’s life and to capture what it is to be a shy bride.
Many blushing brides call her creations casual, I usually call them understated and when I am quite nervous – unoriginal. The 2012 underwear line is cute enough – and it screams bridal! As you know, bridal is about great support – to keep everything in its place under the dress – and sassy. And that’s exactly what this collection is all about! This line is filled with several sexy pieces.
I especially like the incorporated blacks and reds, not something you would normally see in wedding underwear and I think it works great here.
Aptly dubbed “Josephine Marrying,” this line accommodates many different sizes from A all the way to DD cup sizes and S to XL in both thongs & knickers created from Champagne lace & satin. With a champagne colorway, the designer seems to provocatively suggest that pure white can end with the actual bridal dress. Underwear sets are packaged in gift boxes inscribed in gold with ‘Here Comes the Bride.’
This wedding underwear line follows the designer’s original collection first introduced for SS08. The rest of the AW 2011/2012 line is already available for purchase, with each set named after girls in provocative situations, like the Caroline Wriggling and the Lola Spinning. How cute is that?
